Where to Begin
Accessing Our Virtual Event Space
You will find all the Zoom links and documents you’ll need for the weekend in our virtual event space. For security purposes, we will NOT email individual Zoom links directly.
Access the virtual event space by clicking “Access Virtual Event” in the confirmation email you received upon registration. (Write down the 9-digit access code that’s in the email so you have it handy.) Search your inbox for “Registration Confirmation for Midsummer Online Writing Getaway” to find the email, and check your spam folder if necessary. If you can’t find it and need the email re-sent to you, visit this webpage, click “Lost your code?” and follow the prompts. If you’re still having difficulty, contact us at 609-626-3594 or info@murphywriting.com.
Helpful Tech Tips
See our blogpost How to Make the Most of Your Online Getaway, which describes helpful details to maximize your internet speed, keep organized, what to “bring” with you and more.
You can also watch our Tech How-to Video in the virtual event space to find out how to use Zoom if you haven’t before.
IMPORTANT: *Make sure you have the latest version of Zoom downloaded. Visit Zoom’s website to find out how to check for updates.*

Each day, there will also be plenty of optional activities for writing and connecting with other writers—open mics, readings, yoga, doodling, freewriting, mealtime socials and more. The schedule posted in our virtual event space will give you all the details and links you need to participate.
The weekend will wrap up on Sunday with our Closing Program at 5:15 p.m. EDT.
Schedule
You’ll receive the official schedule as part of the materials in our virtual event space, but here’s the tentative schedule.
Tutorials
If you signed up for a One-on-one Tutorial, we will finalize and share the tutorial schedule with you a day or two before the Getaway begins. If you would like to add on a tutorial to your registration, email us at info@murphywriting.com.
Important Notes
Please do NOT post any Zoom links you find in our virtual event space anywhere on the internet, or share them with anyone. The Midsummer Getaway’s events are open only to registered participants. Plus, sharing Zoom links on social media opens us up to Zoom bombers. We have taken security measures to keep them out, so please help us keep our event space free from anyone naughty by keeping the links to yourself.
